I had a pleasant stay at this boutique hotel, which is conveniently located just a short walk from the old city. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and featured air conditioning, though I did encounter some noise from nearby construction in the morning. The included breakfast was underwhelming and could definitely use some improvement, but the communal areas were a lovely place to unwind in the evenings. Overall, it offers great value for the price, but a few aspects could be enhanced.

The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well air-conditioned. However, I could hear drilling from 8 AM due to nearby construction, which was a bit distracting.

This hotel's location is great, situated away from the hustle and bustle of the central tourist areas. It's peaceful and offers a nice escape.
Dining

Breakfast left something to be desired and was quite basic, mainly consisting of fruits and limited options like stale toast and eggs. Thankfully, there are plenty of nearby eateries for other meals.
Facilities

The communal areas were a highlight, featuring a spacious balcony where I could relax with a drink at night. However, the breakfast offerings could definitely be improved.

I had a lovely stay at Smile House Boutique. The rooms are clean and well air-conditioned, which made my 7-day visit very pleasant. The location helps you escape the hustle and bustle of downtown, and the staff were attentive and helpful. However, there were some minor issues like thin walls and limited facilities that could be improved. Overall, it’s a charming hideaway I would consider visiting again.

5.0/10

My stay started with trouble as my reservation was canceled upon arrival, which was extremely frustrating. However, after some back and forth, I was able to get a room, but I ended up paying more than my initial reservation. The room itself was not great; it was dirty and had ants everywhere. Although the location was convenient for exploring Chiang Mai, the overall experience left much to be desired, especially given the price. I would recommend looking elsewhere for better value.

Rooms

The room was dirty and had ants crawling everywhere. The beds were uncomfortably hard, making it tough to get a good night's sleep.
Service

The service was frustrating initially due to the reservation mix-up, but there was some effort in accommodating me once I arrived.

Dining

Breakfast isn't included, and it felt overpriced compared to local eateries just down the street.
Facilities

Facilities were lacking; the Wi-Fi didn't work during my stay, and the amenities weren't impressive.

I really enjoyed my stay at Smile House Boutique. The location is peaceful yet close to all the markets, making it convenient to explore. The rooms were clean and well air-conditioned, but I found them to be quite small and the walls thin, which was a bit distracting at times. The staff were exceptionally welcoming, especially Steve, who provided great recommendations. However, improvements could be made regarding comfort and amenities in the rooms.
